Purchasing a Sterner guitar

Concert classical guitar (please contact me for the current base price)

• Master-grade Spruce or Cedar

• Master-grade Indian Rosewood standard

• Upgrades for back and side wood:

  • African Blackwood, +$1500

    • Sapwood center-strip design, +$500 (when available)

  • Brazilian Rosewood, +$2500 and up

• Mosaic or organic rosette

• Fully carved crest

• Curly or brazilian rosewood binding, or other special, +$ varies

• Fancy purfling, like wheat or curl, +$250

• Alessi custom tuners, brass engraved with rosewood keys standard

• Upgrades for Alessi tuners:

  • White or black mother-of-pearl keys and roller buttons, +$380

• Many custom features are possible, and are priced on a case-by-case basis:

  • alternate woods

  • one-off rosettes

  • unique tuning machines

  • additional strings

  • custom inscriptions

My waiting list is currently at least 12 months. To reserve a spot on the list, I take a non-refundable deposit of $250, which is applied toward the purchase price. 25% of the purchase price is required before construction commences, and the remaining balance is due before the instrument is shipped to you.
